Regarding RP PreferencesScholarly pursuits, problem-solving, and catastrophic mistakes are S'ardon's stock in trade.I prefer lore-adjacent, with the understanding that I'm forgiving if something goes a little crazy, and I'd hope for a reciprocating amount of forgiveness.If you're RP'ing as preexisting NPCs / the WoL / the WoL's stronger more powerful twin, I'm not that interested.While S'ardon will take commissions from anyone (from sprite-like fey nerds through void-sniffing edgelords), he does research his clients and maintains the right to refuse contracts (and associated RP) if he feels it'd be a threat to his family.S'ardon is happily married and dedicated to his family; no romance and definitely no ERP.

Explaining the Vortex

  • In 07 7th Umbral Era (shortly before Endwalker), S'ardon completed a long-standing project, whereupon he was able to utilize aether drills, a magic mirror, quantum signatures, and his dead wife's soul crystal as a means through which to triangulate her whereabouts in the Aetherial Sea.

  • In fact his wife (O'palah) was not dead; she was on the First (her point of origin). So while bringing her home was always S'ardon's goal, he wasn't entirely certain what her condition would be.

  • Due to a miscalculation, his time/space machine accidentally created a pocket universe inside his Free Company HQ. (Sorry, all.)

  • The FC was tasked with locating S'ardon and S'ardon's wife successfully.

  • This mission was poorly received by the mammet with O'palah's soul crystal, who'd long felt snubbed by her husband after death.

  • Chaos ensued as the Free Company attempted to control a poorly documented machine across multiple timelines on two different portions of a sundered Star.

  • Ultimately, S'ardon and O'palah were rescued... and left back in 01 7th Umbral Era. They've been careful to avoid duplicating their own timelines.

  • The soul crystal was created during these events; the mammet ripped it out of its chest rather than deal with the FC.

  • The mammet's electrocuted husk remains in Liberty HQ.

  • The whereabouts of the soul crystal are unknown ...

The Nyx Family
